Cybernetica is an Estonian deep-tech company with the mission of building future-proof technologies for secure digital societies. We see how companies and governments are struggling with setting up even basic cybersecurity controls so we want to help. We are building a product that helps more people perform cybersecurity tasks.
As a UX/UI designer, you will be responsible for researching, designing, and implementing all user experiences when interacting with this product. You will have to design and help implement a user interface unlike many other, with a strong focus on visualisation of complex data and a heavy focus on accessibility.
Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers, engineers, analysts and developers
Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and novel visual elements
Come up with ways how to visualise complex data in the security domain to ease interpretation
Adapt and tailor well-known design systems to suit specific use cases and the overall product style
Create static and interactive mock-ups of design products
Conduct usability testing and analyze the results to provide data-driven recommendations for design improvements
Stay up-to-date with design trends, tools, technologies and best practices
At least 3 years of work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
Skills for visualize complex data (e.g., relations, networks)
Understanding of technical side of UI
Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Figma, Miro, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
A strong understanding of the principles of accessibility
Good communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
Ability to work independently and to take initiative
Portfolio of design projects
Great teamwork and problem-solving skills
Great verbal and written English skills; Estonian language is a plus
Experience with IT projects
Knowledge about software development process
Understanding of networks or cybersecurity
Understanding of adaptive user interface design
