We are looking for a Client Systems Administrator to join our surveillance systems team who are developing Cybernetica’s own software and hardware products and delivering complex mission-critical systems for vessel traffic management and border protection. Our customer base is really around the world but major sites are Indonesia, Malaysia, Northern Africa and Gulf-region.
Define system configurations, resolve software dependencies, and deploy system software to testing and customer environments.
Package software releases and prepare clear installation and deployment documentation.
Support customers with software installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Prepare and deliver up-to-date technical training for customers and partners.
Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests, including preparation of test documentation and reports.
Learn and develop a strong working knowledge of the company’s proprietary software systems.
Participate in deployment projects, customer support activities, and sales support processes.
Work closely with engineering, project, and customer-facing teams to ensure smooth delivery and handover of systems.
Previous experience in IT as a systems administrator or in a similar technical role.
Good working knowledge of Linux systems; experience with other operating systems is a plus.
General understanding of virtualization platforms, such as OpenNebula, Xen, or similar.
Experience with scripting languages, such as Perl, Python, Bash, or similar.
Good understanding of IP networking and network devices, including switches, VPN routers, and related infrastructure.
An analytical, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to take initiative.
A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for the systems you work with.
Good spoken and written Estonian and English.
Hands-on experience with Debian package management, including building packages and customizing installation images.
Interest in high-availability system design, redundant architectures, and database technologies.
